The Smart Battery Shunt
The SmartShunt is an all-in-one battery monitor, only without a display. Your phone acts as the display. The SmartShunt connects via Bluetooth to the VictronConnect App on your phone (or tablet) and you can conveniently read out all monitored battery parameters, like state of charge, time to go, historical information and much more.
Alternatively, the SmartShunt can be connected and be read by a GX device. Connection to the SmartShunt is made via a VE.Direct cable.
The SmartShunt is a good alternative for a BMV battery monitor, especially for systems where battery monitoring is needed but less wiring and clutter is wanted. The SmartShunt is equipped with Bluetooth, a VE.Direct port and a connection that can be used for: monitoring a second battery, midpoint monitoring or a temperature sensor.
The SmartShunt is available in 500A.

The Victron Energy products are bit expensive but they are high quality. Bought a couple of smartshunts, and they were easy to setup with my other Victron equipments. So far no issues at all.

A well designed Victron Energy product. Works perfectly fine and provides the necessary information about your batteries. The bluetooth range could have been done, but other than that, it works pretty well.

Better than just using a volt meter. The Victron Energy Smartshunt let’s you connect to Victron app via Bluetooth which gives you a lot of information and data needed. I used Victron products before, they are always fantastic and this one is of no exception.

The Victron Smartshunt works really good and the features that it comes with are pretty incredible. But the bluetooth connection is only 10 feet away, would have been great if it was more; other than that, I would recommend this product.

The Victron Energy Smartshunt lets you know the state of charge, the voltage, and the consumption of your batteries at the moment. I connected it to my other Victron equipments and created an amazing Victron environment. Excellent!!

A pretty good piece of accessory. A good alternative option to BMV, if you want to check your battery info on your phone, the Victron Smartshunt is for you. My only problem with it is the bluetooth range which only has about 10 feet range; other than that, it’s a decent Victron energy product.
