The Blue Smart IP67 Charger is the new professional battery charger with built-in Bluetooth. This 17A 12A Charger can be used on devices in your workshop and on motor vehicles, such as (classic) cars; motorbikes; boats and camper-vans and can be used on both AGM and lithium batteries.

The Blue Smart IP67 Charger is the wireless solution to monitor voltage and current, to change settings and to update the charger when new features become available. With Bluetooth, the functionality of the IP67 charger is enhanced and is similar to that of our IP22 and IP65 chargers.
Completely encapsulated: waterproof, shockproof and ignition protected
Water, oil or dirt will not damage the Blue Smart IP67 Charger. The casing is made of cast aluminum and the electronics are molded in resin.
High Efficiency
Setting a new industry standard: with 92% efficiency or better, these chargers waste three to four times less heat. And once the battery is fully charged, power consumption reduces to less than a Watt, some five to ten times better than the industry standard.
Adaptive 5-stage charge algorithm
bulk – absorption – recondition – float – storage
The Blue Smart Charger features a microprocessor-controlled ‘adaptive’ battery management. The ‘adaptive’ feature will automatically optimize the charging process relative to the way the battery is being used.
Storage Mode: Less maintenance and aging when the battery is not in use
The storage mode kicks in whenever the battery has not been subjected to discharge for 24 hours. In the storage mode, float voltage is reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week the voltage is raised back to the absorption level to equalize the battery. This feature prevents stratification of the electrolyte and sulphation, a major cause of early battery failure.
Also charges Li-ion (LiFePO₄) batteries
LiFePO₄ batteries are charged with a simple bulk – absorption – float algorithm.
Protected against overheating
Can be used in a hot environment such as a machine room. Output current will reduce as temperature increases up to 60°C, but the charger will not fail.

This Victron 17A charger was recommended to me by Brooklyn from Canbat. My LiFePO4 battery went into protection mode because I fully discharged it and my AGM charger wasn’t able to charge it. This Victron charger was able to wake up the BMS and has been charging my battery wonderfully. Excellent support from Canbat and thanks for the free shipping!

Canbat’s customer service is unbeatable. I called them probably 6 times before buying this charger and I annoyed the heck out of them, but they were always polite and ready to answer any question I had. 5 stars for Canbat for their customer service and fast shipping, but only 4 stars for the charger. It works great for lithium batteries, the Bluetooth app is useful and the price is affordable. The only downside to it is that it heats up very much. The charger becomes too hot and it can actually burn your hand if you touch it. Canbat said it’s normal because the charger is made out of aluminum, which heats up really quick but also cools down very quick once it’s done charging. That’s just how the charger was designed by Victron.

Powerful lithium charger with an awesome Bluetooth app that shows you how the battery is being charged. For some reason, I wasn’t able to find this charger anywhere in Toronto. Ordered it from Canbat and it shipped from Vancouver with free shipping. It only took the charger 3 days to arrive Toronto, which is pretty fast.

I would give this BPC121715106 charger 10 starts if I could. Not only does it have default settings for lithium and lead acid, but the Bluetooth app also allows you to fully customize the charge parameters. This basically means you can charge any 12V battery type.
